With more than 300 species of birds from all over the world, Penang Bird Park is a "Heaven for Photographers". Many species of birds have been trained and tamed to "pose" for photography purpose.
			Penang Bird Park has been graced by the generous donation of other types of animals from the general public, which added extra attraction to Penang Bird Park. Some of the animals include Green Iguana, 8 foot long gaint Monitor Lizards, 18 foot long giant Pythons, 10 foot long Arapaima (fresh water fish from the Amazon River in South America), giant Soft-shelled Turtle, Spotted Fallow Deers, tiny Mouse-deers, Bawean Deers and others. Penang Bird Park is also a natural home for a group of more than 20 heads of timid Leaf-monkeys, which feeds on the succulent leaves in the park.
